Driver Position Modifications
The driver required more helmet to hoop clearance. The chassis and seat were both modified to get the driver sitting as low as possible.
· Parachute mount cross member was cut out and a new drop tube crossmember was fabricated and installed.
· Existing parachute mounting tabs were reinstalled on the new drop crossmember
· Two tube braces were added for additional support
· The existing belly pan was modified to accommodate the new drop crossmember
· Alloy closing panels fabricated to conceal the new dropped driver compartment
· The seat was modified by removing the existing seat base and fabricating a new extended seat base which allowed the driver to sit lower down
